Having lunch at some friends’ on a rainy Sunday in Versailles… What a good reason to visit the Chateau de Versailles again ….and again.

30 min from west Paris by car (a13 highway). Easy street parking around the Chateau on Sundays.

Gardens were closed because of the windy weather but the long line didn’t prevent us from visiting the Chateau.

While kids got captivated by the various interactive videos, I enjoyed the traditional rooms: the royal chapel, the hall of mirrors, the king’s chamber or the Royal napkin folding…

You can spend 1 to 3 hours in the Chateau… And don’t forget to stop at La Duree for a macaron if you are hungry.
